On November 5th, RGREEN INVEST and Sun’Agri, specialist in dynamic agrivoltaism, announced the launch of “Cultivons Demain!”, an initiative that will mobilise 1 billion euros by 2025 to finance the equipment of 300 farms in France with innovative solutions that will improve agricultural yields and produce green energy. The program is supported by the European Investment Bank, BPI France and the French Chambers of Agriculture.
Sun’Agri and RGREEN INVEST are therefore calling public and private stakeholders mindful about the adaptation of agriculture to climate change to join “Cultivons Demain!” and propose new technological solutions. The ambition is to equip 300 farms in France with innovative solutions to improve agricultural yields on 1,500 to 2,000 hectares.
To unlock the financing of “Cultivons Demain!” to various investors, RGREEN INVEST has created a dedicated financing structure, called Râcine. To date, RGREEN INVEST, via its INFRAGREEN IV fund, has committed to provide €50 millionof equity capital to project owners. The contribution will enable to raise a total of €200 million (equity and senior debt).
Multiple media have taken an interest in the Cultivons Demain! initiative, including Les Echos, CFNews Immo, La France Agricole, Boursier.com, Green Univers, Taiyangnews (in english) ou encore PV Magazine (in english).
