ESEC Vice-President Carole Couvert, Nicolas Dufourcq, Managing Director of Bpifrance SA and EIB Vice-President Ambroise Fayolle shared the welcome speeches. Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner, introduced the event by asking if a European Climate Bank did not already exist: “What if it was the EIB?”. Afterwards, about fifteen speakers took the floor, each of whom commented on investments in France and Europe, the financing of innovative companies and, of course, the financing of the ecological transition. This last point took the form of a round table introduced by Eric Scotto (Akuo Energy) who recalled on this occasion the themes he considers essential and whose financing should be accelerated: Africa and its electrification, agrinergy which combines photovoltaics, agriculture, mobility, hydrogen and other alternatives. Finally, unanimous agreement was reached on the fact that energy transition financing wasn’t sufficient yet.
