Paris, 13 June 2024 – RIVE Private Investment (“RIVE”), a european investment firm specializing in energetic transition and transport, has invested €20 million in LANGA INTERNATIONAL, a developer and independent producer of renewable energy. This is the second investment of the RIVE Infrastructure Impact Fund (RIIF) following Electra, with RIVE recently announcing the fund’s first closing at €180 million. RIVE joins LANGA INTERNATIONAL’s historical investors, including Bpifrance through its France Investissement Energie Environnement fund, RGREEN INVEST, and Swen Capital Partners, which entered the capital in December 2023.
Founded in 2017, in parallel with the sale of its french activities to Engie, LANGA INTERNATIONAL has established itself as a leading player in the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy infrastructures. Operating as both a developer and independent energy producer, LANGA INTERNATIONAL is mainly present in Europe, notably in France, Spain, and Italy, as well as in other OECD countries and island territories. Leveraging its experience, its management team has developed a multi-technology portfolio (photovoltaic, wind, storage, and hydro) of 6 GW at different stages of advancement, including 400 MW of assets in operation or ready to build. In 2023, LANGA INTERNATIONAL strengthened its presence in France with the acquisition of Eolfi.
This operation will enable LANGA INTERNATIONAL to accelerate the development of its pipeline and build the most advanced projects. LANGA INTERNATIONAL has strategically developed and built renewable assets in Spain, France, and Italy, with a strategy of geographical and technological diversification. In Italy and Spain, the company has focused on developing solar projects, establishing local partnerships to strengthen its presence.
RIVE’s investment is part of the RIIF fund’s strategy to invest equity in SMEs involved in energy transition to accelerate the deployment of green energy infrastructure and decarbonize the European energy mix.
